Lucrative tape ball tournament slated for National Park tarmac

Today promises to be an exciting day for tape ball players who will compete for glory, cash and other prizes in the inaugural edition of Transcend Entertainment Tape Ball Knockout Tournament at the National Park.

Cricket lovers will be in for a treat as emerging and top local teams clash for over $500,000 in cash and prizes in the event.

Up to press time last night, 30 teams were guaranteed entry and it is not too late for teams to register to play. However, registration will close at 08:30h today.

The entrance fee is $10,000 and each team will receive a case of drinks upon arrival on game day. The first ball bowls off at 09:00h.

The event has been boosted through the kind compliments of the following business entities: Regal Stationery and Computer Supplies, Banks DIH, Church’s Chicken, Star Party Rentals, National Sports Commission, Seepaul’s Sports Bar and Seeta’s Sports Bar. These businesses are joined by Imperial Trading, Movement Auto Rental, Xavier’s Investments, Precision Auto Works, Leading Edge and Squires Realty, all of which have contributed in some department.
