Talented Berbician Zeynul Ramsammy became the fifth First-Class cricketer to hail from Tucber Park Cricket Club when he made his debut for Guyana Harpy Eagles.
Ramsammy received his cap from senior fast-bowler Nial Smith at the Antigua Recreational Ground in St Johns, where Guyana is facing off against the West Indies Academy.

The 21-year-old middle-order batsman who bowls leg-spin is a student of the game who graduated with distinction while playing youth cricket for Guyana on various occasions.
Fittingly, his Tucber Park teammate, Nial Smith, presented him with his debut cap.
“First of all, I want to say congratulations on making the Guyana Harpy Eagles team. I’ve known you from a very young age; you played age-group cricket for Guyana, so it is destiny for you to play for the senior team.
Over the years you have put in the work, and we have seen progress. Make your family proud, make Tucber Park proud, make Berbice and Guyana proud,” Smith said.
Ramsammy was in line to make his List A debut for the Harpy Eagles last year but got injured and could not participate in the Regional Super50 tournament.
Earlier last year, he made his T20 debut for the Guyana Rainforest Rangers in the Breakout T20 League.
Ramsammy has followed in the footsteps of Jeremy Gordon, Romario Shepherd, Nial Smith and Shamar Joseph as first-class players produced by the club. (Brandon Corlette)
