Mother of 3 critical

– knocked down by speeding car at Success

Pulmattie Ramotar of Lot 290 Sixth Street Success, East Coast Demerara was on Tuesday morning run over by a speeding car on the village public road as she reportedly was attempting to cross the East Coast Demerara thoroughfare on her way to the Mon Repos Market.
Rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital with injuries to her head and other parts of the body, the 52-year-old mother of three is said to be in an unresponsive and critical condition there.
Relatives of the injured woman relayed to this publication that medical examinations and scans were administered to her head as doctors attempted to determine whether her brain had been damaged.
The driver of the allegedly speeding car has been taken into police custody, where he remains as investigations continue.
