The allegations against Anthony stated that on October 2, 2018, at D’Urban Street, Georgetown, she inflicted grievous bodily harm on the Virtual Complainant (VC), Nicola Bacchus. Two other charges stated that on the same date at the same location, she damaged a pair of spectacles, valued $181,269; the property of the said VC, while she also assaulted Dorothy Bacchus.
Anthony denied the three charges. The VC Nichola Bacchus and her husband Reginal Bacchus also faced a charge of assault, which stated that on October 2, 2018 at D’Urban Street, Georgetown they both assaulted Denisha Anthony.
Both parties pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Police prosecutor made no objections to bail. Magistrate Daly placed the defendant on $70,000 bail while the Bacchus’s were each placed on $10,000 bail. The cases will continue on November 9.
