One of Guyana’s oldest secondary schools, Central High, will stage its annual Inter-house athletic championships at the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) ground, Camp Ayannganna, today (Wednesday).

Central High has the honour of producing among others, former Guyana and West Indies fast bowler Colin Croft and track star June Griffith.
During a simple presentation at the school on Monday, former student and sports enthusiast Manniram Shew handed over a trophy to be contested for the champion boy for today’s championships.
Also present at the handing over ceremony were two of Shew’s school mates, Colin Sutton and Peter Campayne.
