Pedestrian in Duncan Street accident remains unconscious, unidentified

More than one week after a pedestrian was allegedly struck down by a white Toyota Axio motor car along Duncan Street, Georgetown, he remains unconscious and unidentified.
This was confirmed by Regional Commander Simon McBean during a telephone interview with Guyana Times.
It was reported that two Saturdays ago, the yet to be identified pedestrian who is of East Indian descent, was reportedly standing on the centre portion of Duncan Street, Georgetown, when he was struck down by the motor car.
As a result of the collision, the pedestrian was flung into the air and landed on the road’s surface. The motor car fled the scene.
Nevertheless, the injured man was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital’s Accident and Emergency Unit in an unconscious state. He suffered injuries to his head, chest and genital area.
Since the accident, the driver of the motor car that was involved is yet to surrender to the Police.
