Poultry farmer slapped with fraud charge

A poultry farmer who allegedly used money entrusted to him for his own benefit was on Wednesday taken before Magistrate Fabayo Azore.
Mohammed Khan, 22, of Independence Boulevard, Georgetown, was made to answer to the charge at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.
The charge stated that Khan, on June 26, 2017 in Georgetown, while being solely entrusted with 0,000, property of Steve Rogers, to deposit, converted the money to his own use and benefit.
Khan denied the allegation brought against him, pleading not guilty to the charge.
The prosecution revealed that the defendant has no prior convictions and no pending matters.
He was granted bail in the sum of 0,000. The case will continue on August 22.
