Youth Basketball Guyana’s (YBG) East Coast “Country” Regionals continued on Thursday at the President’s College hardcourt in Golden Grove, East Coast Demerara, with Plaisance Secondary and President’s College recording victories in the latest round of action.
In the opening contest of the day, Good Hope Secondary edged Annandale Secondary 7-4 in a low-scoring encounter to secure the win.
Plaisance Secondary then produced a dominant performance to defeat Hope Secondary 29-8. Christopher Ram led the scoring for Plaisance with 11 points, while Trevor James was named Player of the Game after contributing eight points and seven rebounds in an all-round display.
President’s College closed the night with a 29-20 victory over Golden Grove Secondary. Terron Mohabir was the standout performer, scoring 14 points and collecting three rebounds to earn Player of the Game honours. Romarion Wolfe also supported the effort with six points.
