It’s on, as horse racing fanatics get to witness the grand occasion on Sunday September 30 at the Rising Sun Turf Club, when the Caribbean Nations Group President’s Cup Horse Racing Meet unfolds.
With seven races slated for the event, competitors will have the chance to win incentives over $6M.
The main event will feature the President’s Cup which will be open to all horses bred in Guyana; it is expected to accommodate mares and fillies imported in the year 2018.
The winner of the President’ss Cup will walk away with a first prize of $1M which
carries the distance of over five and a half furlongs.
Among the other events slated for that day is the Guyana Green State E and Lower race which is over eight furlongs that carries a top prize of $500,000.
The J3 and lower which is seven furlongs will have a $350,000 top prize while the L and lower open, consisting of seven furlongs, will see the winner cart off with $300,000.
A $250,000 prize is set for the victor of the L class maiden horses race, while the winner of the Guyana Bred 2-year-old (Baby Horse) race will take home $200,000 and a trophy.
The day wraps up with the L non earners for 2018 running over five and a half furlongs competing for a $100,000 grand prize.
