Hamilton Green K.O Cup 2017…
Lindeners will be treated to a triple header on Saturday when the final round of 16 games in the Hamilton Green Knock-out Cup continues at the McKenzie Sports Club (MSC) ground.
Three exciting clashes are slated for the mining town beginning at 17:00hrs when local side Silver Shattas take on GFC which will be followed by Mile Rock versus the ever dangerous Western Tigers and Winners Connection coming up against Eagles United in the final match of the night.
Following those games on Saturday, the tournament’s first quarter-final will be played between Ann’s Grove and Police FC at Victoria Ground on the East Coast of Demerara on Sunday. However, before the teams battle for the first semi-final spot, there will be two exhibition matches played between Buxton Bakewell and GDF while Victoria Kings will look for a home victory when they take on Plaisance.
Last Sunday, Police FC were benefactors of a walkover when opponents Riddim Squad failed to appear for their game at the Den Amstel ground, West Coast Demerara.
In the other game, Uitvlugt defeated Santos FC by two goals to one. Second half goals from Jamel Harvey in the 52nd minute and Chris Macey in the 68th minutes saw Uitvlugt past the Georgetown based side despite Rondell Gordon halving the deficit in the 78th minute.
