
Rama Krishna Primary and West Ruimveldt Primary were among the standout performers when the primary school girls’ windball cricket competition resumed at the National Gymnasium.
The tournament is being organised by the After School Training Programme (ASTP) in collaboration with Smalta, the National Sports Commission (NSC), and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport (MCYS).
West Ruimveldt Primary secured a comfortable victory over Saint Stephens Primary. Batting first, Saint Stephens scored 27-3, with Akelah Henry making 20 runs. West Ruimveldt responded with 32 without loss, led by Alliana Pollard’s 14.
Saint Margaret’s Primary also registered a win after posting 23 without loss. Jissell Kendall top-scored with an unbeaten 14, while Saint Pius Primary fell just short despite Sophia Razac’s 10 runs in a reply of 22 without loss.
Rama Krishna Primary produced one of the most dominant performances of the day against Tucville Primary. Aset David struck an unbeaten 50, including eight boundaries, while Nickeishna Campbell added 18 as Rama Krishna posted 68 without loss. Tucville was then restricted to 25-8, with Campbell claiming four wickets and Maliya Williams taking three.
Saint Thomas More Primary also enjoyed success after scoring 64 without loss against Enterprise Primary. Keziah Washington made 16, while Enterprise replied with 35 without loss, led by Janiah Wickham’s 12.

Rama Krishna continued their winning run in another girls’ match, posting 74-2 against St Agnes Primary. David led the scoring with 29, while Williams contributed 22 and Campbell added 16. St Agnes were then limited to 27-6, with Williams taking three wickets and Campbell two.
The boys’ competition also produced several exciting encounters.
Saint Agnes Primary defeated Smith Church Primary after successfully chasing 50-4. Devontae Blair scored 30 and Emerson Eastman added 10 for Smith Church, but Kishan Chance’s unbeaten 32 guided Saint Agnes to 54-4.
Rama Krishna Primary completed another victory after defeating Grahams Hall Primary. Grahams Hall posted 55-7, with Keron Ramlochan making 16. Kevin Klass starred with the ball for Rama Krishna, claiming a hat-trick on his way to figures of 3-7, while Chidarth Persaud supported with 2-6.
Rama Krishna then reached 56-4 to secure victory, with Persaud scoring an unbeaten 28 and Neymar Kisson finishing not out on 24.
