The two-time champs kept their momentum going as they disposed of the hosts in fine fashion, thanks mainly to the class of Ramsammy, who stroked five fours in his top innings of 72.
Romel Datterdeen and Mavendra Dindyal supported their skipper well with brief knocks of 43 and 33 respectively as Guyana ended on 181-6 from their 50 overs batting first.
Jamaica were indebted to the efforts with the ball from Sherwayne Thomas, who grabbed 3-33, but were unable to capitalise on their home conditions when chasing a relatively meagre total and were kept to 177-8 when their allotted 50 overs expired.
Openers Jordan Johnson, who top-scored with 56 and Adrian Weir, 48, gave their team the ideal start with their 112-run stand, which worried the Guyanese. However, after their dismissals, not much was done to facilitate or combat the assault led by Jeremy Sandia, who bagged 4-29 with Jonathan Rampersaud capping things off with 2-35 to keep Guyana in control.
