Russell century gives Tallawahs 195 against Knight Riders

Hero Caribbean Premier League 2016…

A brutal century from Andre Russell pulled the Jamaica Tallawahs from a bit of trouble to a dangerous 195 for seven.
The century, the first of his Twenty20 career, began with the Tallawahs in trouble at 67-4 in the 10th over.

Ten overs was all Russell needed as he raced to the quickest century in CPL history, striking the ball at 227 and getting to the landmark off 43 deliveries, striking 11 sixes and three fours.
Russell brought up the century in much the way he had batted through the innings, clubbing a massive straight six off the first ball of the 20th over from Anderson Phillip.
Chadwick Walton, 15, and Chris Gayle, 35, got the Tallawahs off to a reasonable start, but Cooper, who took three wickets in the innings got rid of both.
Before that Kumar Sangakarra holed out to long off in very underwhelming fashion off the bowling of Sunil Narine for five.
There was much pressure on young Rovman Powell but the powerful batsman was unfortunate enough to be out caught at short fine leg for just two.
Russell then teamed up with Shakib Al Hasan, who only managed 19 in a 100-run partnership.
