Sabina Farms onboard for Stage of Champions

Sabina Farms has stepped on board as a major sponsor of the second edition of Stage of Champions bodybuilding competition. The event is scheduled for November 18 at the Theater Guild in Kingston.
Owner of Sabina Farms David Aparisio who is the owner of Sabina Farms said it is his penchant for sports as a whole that led to his company coming on board the “Stage of Champions”.

“I’m someone who spent some of my youth participating in taekwondo, I did some bodybuilding myself, maybe 10-15 years ago and I felt it helped me to stay focused, I felt it gave me an edge,” Apariso said.
Organiser of the competition, Videsh Sookram told Guyana Times Sports, that the competition has expanded and will be featuring participants from at least eight countries.
“The athletes are the best in the Caribbean, the best of the best is coming to Guyana to compete on stage. So far we have confirmed Guyana, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Anguilla and St Martin (French and Dutch)” Sookram declared.
Some of the top local body builders from Guyana are expected to take part in the second edition of the competition with Emmerson Campbell being highlighted as a favourite to retain his crown in the Men’s Physique category.
While last year’s edition had only three weight categories, this year there see six being; Under-143lbs, Under 154lbs, Under-164lbs, Under-176lbs, 177lbs and over. The winners will all be recipients of cash prizes.
Sabina Farms is located in St. Lawrence, East Bank Essequibo and focuses on using best farm practices while producing a number of crops native to Guyana.
