Seejattan wary of intense competition

GMR&SC National Race of Champions…

Group Two driver Shan Seejattan will not be throwing caution to the wind when he competes in Guyana Motor Racing & Sports Club (GMR&SC) National Race of Champions slated for July 2 at the South Dakota Circuit.

At the last meeting in April, Seejattan sped his way to a first and two second places. However he is adamant that an even greater test awaits him given the increase participation by drivers and boost to their machines.
The likes of Ramez Mohamed, Chet Singh Shairaz Roshandin and Daniel Deokie, are expected to form the core of tough opposition.
“The group is very competitive and it will close racing. I’ m not worried but at the same time I’m not over confident. So let’s just see what happens and hopefully we have a good day of racing but I look forward to the competition”.
His hatchback Honda Civic suffered a broken motor at the last meet at South Dakota and his reliable team is in the process of rebuilding.
“Technically the handling was really out of the car at the last meet and that is priority on our list. I have been getting a lot of practice with Go-kart which has helped me keep my skills sharp,” Seejattan explained.
“It is going to be an exciting day of racing. A lot for cars will be out there. Every race meet everyone is getting faster”, he contended.
Seejattan is hopeful that he can acquire more sponsors to add to Special Auto and Blue Spring Water so that he can make the trip for the second round of the Caribbean Motor Racing Championships (CMRC) slated for July 30 at Frankie Boodram Wallerfield International Raceway in Trinidad and Tobago.
