Spartans cart off Indian Arrival Day Dominoes Tournament at Linden

…Cop Tony’s Jewelry Trophy and $130,000

Georgetown side Spartans went to Linden and conquered their rivals to walk away with victory in the Indian Arrival Day Dominoes competition put on by Swag Boss and played on Friday at the Senior Supervisors Club.

Playing in the competition, which was regulated as four games instead of the normal six games’ format, Spartans proved themselves better than the competition, amassing 50 games in the final to leave Linden’s Swag Boss, representing Linden, well behind on 46, and fellow Georgetown team All Season in third position on 43.
Both Swag Boss and All Season were locked on 39, trailing Spartans, who finished on 41 going into the final sitting.
For their outstanding play, Spartans copped the top prize of $130,000 and the winners’ trophy, donated by Tony’s Jewelry.
Swag Boss played well to end in second place with 46 games and gain $100,000, while All Season had to settle for third and $70,000.
