Defending champions Chase’s Academic Foundation will begin their bid to retain the Republic Bank League title against Annandale Secondary on Sunday, October 18, when the opening round gets underway at the Ministry of Education (MoE) Ground.
The champions will feature in the first of four matches, with kick-off set for 11:00h following a march-past at 10:00h.
Chase’s title defence also carries significance for the other contenders. Should the defending champions retain their crown, the second-place finisher will secure a spot in the prestigious KFC International Goodwill Series, scheduled for December.
Annandale will have the first opportunity to test the champions as the eight schools on the opening-day programme seek a positive start to their campaigns.
The second match will bring together Three Miles Secondary and New Amsterdam Secondary at 12:30h, before St Joseph High face Charlestown Secondary at 14:00h.
Santa Rosa Secondary and West Ruimveldt Secondary will then meet in the fourth and final fixture at 15:30h, completing the first round of matches at the MoE Ground.
