St Cuthbert’s Mission man slapped with rape charge
Twenty-year-old Shameer Clenkian of St Cuthbert’s Mission was on Thursday placed on $200,000 bail by Magistrate Melissa Mittelholzer, before whom he appeared at the Mahaica Magistrate’s Court to answer a rape charge after being arrested on Sunday last.

He was not required to plead to the indictment, which was laid under Section 3 (3) of the Sexual Offences Act, Chapter 8:03, and bail was granted on condition that he reports every other Monday to the Mahaica Police Station until the determination of the matter.
The matter has been adjourned until December 23, 2021.
