The Timehri Panthers Sports Club received a boost on Sunday, July 4 when the founder of the club, Egan Simon stopped by to present football and physical fitness equipment to the club.
The equipment presented included footballs in three sizes, training ladders and hurdles, pee wee booths, first aid kits, cones, training DVDs, water bottles, goalkeeping gloves and coaching whiteboards. On hand to witness the presentation were members of the club. The ceremony was also graced with the presence of East Bank Football Association (EBFA) President Kevin Anthony, who, in remarks, thanked Simon for his contribution to the Panthers and, by extension, East Bank Football.

Also speaking to the gathering was Panthers President Adrian Gonsalves, who thanked Simon and assured him that the equipment would be put to good use. In response, Simon said that the Panthers family was close to his heart and the club could expect many more such contributions in the future. It was decided by the Panthers executive on the suggestion of Simon to donate some of the balls to fellow East Bank clubs.
This will be done at a later date. The event was chaired by Panthers Vice President Clayton AD Lambert and the vote of thanks was moved by Panthers Secretary Iyodele Hamilton.
