Albion, Tucber Park, Port Mourant register wins

BCB/Lewison General Store U-15 Tournament…

Albion, Port Mourant and Tucber Park recorded wins in their Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) Lewison General Store U-15 matches played on Saturday last.
At the Rose Hall Canje Community Centre Groud, Port Mourant won by nine wickets while Albion defeated Paradise by ten wickets. Tucber Park also won by nine wickets in their match-up against Blairmont.

Kevin Kisten scored 70 for Tucber Park

Albion Permaul Trading & Distribution defeated Paradise to advance to the semi-final.
Paradise, winning the toss and batting first, were shot out for 31 in 15 overs. Off-spinner Afraz Kadir was the main destroyer with 6 for 7, and was well supported by pacer Shiv Harripersaud with 2 for 9.
Albion then raced to 33 in 4.1 overs, with Tameshwar Manual and Travis Kadir unbeaten on 13 and 9 respectively.
Meanwhile, Tucber Park (TPCC) defeated Blairmont in a match played at the Blairmont Ground. Blairmont batted first and were bowled out for 108 in 33.2 overs.
Lyndon Simon was the pick of the bowlers with 3-12. He had good support from Delon Hendore (2-16) and Abdulla Azad (2-15).
In reply, TPCC reached 109-1, with skipper Kevin Kisten making a well-played 70. Fredericks was unbeaten on 28 not out, sharing in a 108-run partnership with Kisten for the second wicket.
