Brian Ramphal Double-Wicket First Division competition

– Foo, Pestano to feature

The formidable Tucber Park duo of Nial Smith and Mark Barker have advanced to the semifinals of the Brian Ramphal Double-Wicket First Division competition by comprehensively defeating ‘Albion B’, represented by Guyana Jaguars spinner Gudakesh Motie-Kanhai and former Guyana under-19 player Karran Arjpaul.
Taking first strike, ‘Albion B’ compiled 47-1 from four overs, but the Tucber Park

duo needed only 3.1 overs to overhaul that target and post 50 without loss.
Tucber Park are now slated to clash with the Rose Hall Town Gizmos and Gadgets’ duo of Clinton Pestano and Kevin Sinclair in a match that would be played under lights at the Albion Sport Complex.
The ‘Albion A’ duo of axed Guyana Jaguars player Jonathan Foo and National under-19 player Kevin Umrao have already advanced to the finals. Their opponents will be the winner of the Tucber Park versus Rose Hall Town clash.
The winning pair would take home $75,000, the runner-up pair would collect $40,000, and the 3rd place team would collect $20,000. These matches will be rescheduled because of the onset of inclement weather in Berbice.
