Aurora Knight Riders and Bacchus Bulls clash in finale this Sunday

South/Central Essequibo T20 Cricket Competition

It all goes down this Sunday February 16, 2020 in the grand finale of the South/Central Essequibo T20 Cricket Competition, as the Aurora Knights take on the in-form Bacchus Bulls, at Imam Bacchus Ground.

The third-place playoff will take place at 10:00h and will see Affiance Sports Club duking it out with Invaders Masters while the final will commence at 14:00h.
Earlier in semi-final 1, Aurora Knight Riders defeated Affiance Sports Club by 58 runs. Winning the toss and selecting to bat, Knight Riders made 154 for 9 in 20 overs. Opener Quacy Reedon 51 (4×6,2×4), Roddie Spencer 31 (3×6,1×4) and Garfield Phillips 21 (1×4) were the main contributors. Bowling for Affiance Sports Club were Amit Persaud (4 for 20); Badesh Parsotam (2 for 30) and Yaseer Mohamed (2 for 40).

Garfield Phillips

Affiance Sports Club could only post 96 for 9 in their allotted 20 overs, with Eishwar Singh 26*(3×4) and Hemant Singh 20 no. Bowling for Knight Riders was Garfield Phillips with figures of 4 for 20.

Punraj Singh

In semi-final 2, Bacchus Bulls defeated Invaders Masters by 50 runs. Winning the toss and batting first, Bacchus Bulls were restricted to 134 for 9 in 20 overs with Captain Yougeshwar Lall making 40 (4×4), Sheldon Charles 24 (5×4) and Wayne Osburne 19 (2×4). Bowling for Invaders were Richie Bishop (5 for 13) and Ricardo Adams (4 for 13). Invaders Masters could only have mustered 84 for 9 when their overs expired. Ryan Adam made 24 (1×6,2×4) and Seenauth Balbadar, 19 (1×4).

Bowling for Bacchus were Punraj Singh (3 for 23) and Lallbachan Narine (2 for 6).
