As Tourism Awareness Month prepares to come to an end on November 30, 2021, Banks DIH Ltd has pumped $700,000 in sponsorship to the Region 10 Tourism Committee (RTTC) to continue its work.
This donation is expected to assist in funding key tourism activities, such as virtual tours, exhibitions, documentaries, sensitisation projects, and the much-anticipated Linden Music Awards.

Outdoor Events Manager Mortimer Stewart at the presentation reiterated the company’s commitment to supporting tourism development in Upper Demerara-Berbice while encouraging the committee to keep up the commendable work.
In response, Chairman of RTTC, Devin Sears expressed gratitude to the beverage company and noted that the funding is timely since the region is poised to be the number one domestic tourist destination in coming years, and observations such as Tourism Awareness Month which gives it the recognition it deserves will create much needed economic stimulation.
