The last group stage match witnessed a battle of skill and strategy, ultimately favoring the Red Force at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy yesterday.
Pride won the toss and chose to field. However, this decision would soon prove costly as the Red Force batsmen showed their mettle, setting a formidable target of 293 for six in their allotted 50 overs.

Darren Bravo scored 139 not out

At the heart of Red Force’s innings was the indomitable Daren Bravo, who played a scintillating knock of 139 not out from just 113 balls. Bravo’s innings was adorned with nine boundaries and seven towering sixes, leaving the Pride bowlers struggling to contain him.
Supporting Bravo’s brilliance, Kjorn Ottley contributed 36, Tion Webster added 28, and both Nicholas Pooran and Yannic Cariah chipped in with 18 runs each. Roston Chase was the standout bowler for Pride, taking three wickets for 50 runs, while Kemar Smith also made a significant impact, claiming two wickets for 46 runs.
When it came to the Pride’s turn to chase down the target, they faced the relentless bowling attack of the Red Force. Sunil Narine and Akeal Hosein were the tormentors-in-chief, stifling Pride’s chase. Narine scalped four wickets for just 13 runs, while Hosein grabbed three wickets for 31 runs, leaving the Pride in dire straits.
Chase, who had earlier impressed with the ball, returned to exhibit his batting prowess, top-scoring for Pride with 48 runs. His innings featured five fours and two towering sixes before he was dismissed leg before wicket by Narine.
Akeem Jordan added 40 runs, showcasing his hitting ability with three sixes and four fours before being bowled by Hosein.
