Guyana will have three representatives at the 2026 International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Americas Championship after Chelsea Edghill, Shemar Britton, and Elishaba Johnson secured qualification for the major regional table tennis event.
The championship will be staged from October 18 to October 25 in Lima, Peru, and will bring together leading players from across the Americas.
Edghill earned her place through her position in the Pan American women’s rankings. She is ranked behind the United States’ Lily Zhang, Canada’s Mo Zhang, and Argentina’s Camila Argüelles.

The top 16 ranked singles players in the Pan American region receive automatic qualification for the championship, allowing Edghill to secure her spot based on her consistent performances at the international level.
Britton and Johnson qualified through the Caribbean Championship, which was held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, in April. Both players advanced to the round of 16 to earn their places at the Americas Championship.
Their qualification gives Guyana representation in both the men’s and women’s divisions at the October event.
