Essequibo Coast teen accused of theft remanded to prison

Nineteen-year-old Eford Holder from Dartmouth Village, Essequibo Coast, Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam), was on Monday remanded to prison for allegedly robbing a 61-year-old businessman.

Police stated that the suspect stole a quantity of items from Rabindra Sankar’s Dartmouth, Essequibo Coast business on April 13.
Holder appeared before Magistrate Ravindra Mohabir at the Charity Magistrate’s Court on Monday, where the charge was read to him.
He pleaded not guilty to the indictment after the Administration of Justice Act (AJA) was applied. He was, nevertheless, remanded to prison until June 17.
