Father, daughter robbed at gunpoint

A 50-year-old man and his 21-year-old daughter were on Sunday attacked and robbed at gunpoint by two bandits at Pandit Street, Bagotstown, East Bank Demerara (EBD).
Regional Commander, Senior Superintendent Kurleigh Simon said that the robbery occurred at about 12:45h.
He revealed that the father and daughter, who hail from La Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara, were making their way home when they were held at gunpoint and relieved of their mobile phones and cash.
“Reports are that the victims were going to get transportation to go to West Demerara when the two assailants rode on a motorcycle and carried out the robbery,” the Commander said.
Police are in the process of reviewing CCTV footage as they continue their investigations.
