Mother of 2 disappeared without a trace almost two months ago

The family of a South Ruimveldt, Georgetown woman is fearing the worst after she disappeared without a trace more than a month ago.
Missing is 23-year-old Queen Esther Cooke, who went missing in May.
Cousin of the woman, Lanthee Moses told Guyana Times that Cooke was living home with someone for the past few months. However, when efforts were made to contact her via her mobile phone, family members were met with hostility by a man on the other end of the line. The voice, family members stated, is not known to the family.

Missing: Queen Esther Cooke

“When they called her phone, even when her grandfather called her phone, a guy answers the phone and cuss them up,” she said
Binta Moses, an aunt, related that it is highly unlikely that her niece would leave and not reach out to her family since they had a good relationship.
The woman, who lives abroad, explained that she last heard from her niece in May when she called desperately pleading for money for personal reasons. The aunt noted that she sent the money but it was never uplifted.
The missing woman’s two children have not heard from her either.
“All we are asking is for her to make contact with us, just so that we can know that she okay… that’s our concern, we just want to know if she is in any danger, because we don’t know exactly what is happening with her.”
The police have launched an investigation but were unable to locate the mother of two. The family is now relying on the public to assist them in locating the woman.
Anyone with information about Cooke’s whereabouts is asked to contact the family on telephone numbers 6133277 or 6754612 or the nearest police station.
