Shawn Deputron, a resident of One Mile Wismar, Linden, Region Ten (Upper Demerara-Berbice), lost his life on Wednesday at about 05:30h in an accident that occurred on the Washer Pond Public Road in Mackenzie, Linden.
Reports are that the 50-year-old Deputron was riding motorcycle CL 4030 proceeding in a southerly direction along the eastern side of the Washer Pond Public Road, but he was not wearing a safety helmet.
The Police have said that as Deputron was about to negotiate a slight turn, he lost control of the motorcycle and it collided with a rail on the eastern side of the road, causing him to fall and receive injuries about his body.
Public-spirited persons picked him up in an unconscious state and took him to the Mackenzie Hospital Complex, where he died while receiving treatment.
