The pacer Nial Smith, Guyana Amazon Warriors’ (GAW’s) new addition, is the new face of the Lucozade brand in Guyana.

The revelation about his collaboration with the energy drink distributed by the Ansa McAl Group in Guyana came through a social media post on Wednesday morning.
The post read: “Lucozade has signed rising Guyanese pace bowler Nial Smith to a six-month contract. The up-and-coming pace bowler had a solid 2020 season, and is one of the cricketers to watch currently.”
Smith and Lucozade came to the contractual agreement recently, with Brand Manager of the energy drink, Triston Freeman, calling the signing “noteworthy” for the brand.
Smith noted that it was a “lifelong” dream to work with the Lucozade brand for a major product, and highlighted that he hopes for a long and successful relationship with Lucozade.”
Smith was hand-picked earlier this year as a newcomer to the Guyana Amazon Warriors (GAW) franchise, and is expected to make his Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) debut sometime during the next few weeks.
