With one week remaining before the $10M Nitro Kart Clash, organisers have indicated that preparations are nearing completion, with the track layout already in place ahead of the April 18–19 event at the National Stadium Providence Parking Lot.
The event, which is being promoted as one of the biggest motorsport meets locally and the largest karting showcase in Guyana, will feature more than $10 million in cash and prizes. According to organisers, final touches to the circuit were expected to be completed, allowing competitors early access to familiarise themselves with the layout.

A spokesperson explained that the initiative to open the venue ahead of time is aimed at giving drivers and riders an opportunity to better understand the track’s surface and undulations. While the base design has been installed, organisers hinted at additional features that will only be revealed during race weekend.
The 0.6-kilometre circuit will host multiple racing categories, including the 200cc four-stroke Honda, Briggs 206 Heavy and Light, Briggs 206 Junior and Cadet divisions, as well as the 125cc IAME, Time Attack Open, and Supermoto Senior classes.
Several new categories have also been introduced to broaden participation. These include the Briggs Rookie Over-35 class for non-professional racers, a Briggs female division, Supermoto Juniors, and an electric scooter race.
Beyond the on-track action, organisers are positioning the event as a family-orientated experience. Plans include a designated kids’ zone featuring trampolines and bouncy castles, alongside a full food court and concession area to accommodate patrons throughout the two-day programme.
The event, a concept developed by Jumbo Jet Events, has attracted corporate backing from several sponsors, including Banks DIH, AJM Enterprise, KP Jagdeo General Contractors, J’s Supermarket, Sawh’s Construction Inc, Precision Service Centre, and Ramchand’s Autobody.
Gates will open at 13:00h on Saturday, with qualifying and free runs scheduled, while competitive racing is set to commence from 08:00h on Sunday. Admission is set at $3000 for adults, with children under 12 granted free entry.
