Guyana Jaguars all-rounder Keemo Paul had another day to remember in cricket, but this time it was with a tape ball in hand.
Paul led from the front with a sterling all-round performance to guide V-Net Communications to the James Lewis and Foreign Ministry Promotion organised Pre-Independence Super Six title in a thriller that went down to the last ball against Craig Neighbourhood Democratic Council (NDC) at the National Cultural Centre Tarmac on Sunday.
Despite the rain, Paul captured three wickets to restrict Craig NDC to 42-5 in their allotted six overs, then returned to smash 20 to propel his team to 46-4.
In the semi-finals, V-Net defeated Eccles NDC while Craig NDC triumphed over the Guyana Forestry Commission.
V-Net successfully chased 72 for victory, ending on 74 without loss in 5.2 overs in reply to 71-3 made by Eccles NDC.
In the other semi-final, Craig NDC stifled the Guyana Forestry Commission to 53-2 in six overs before racing to 55-1 in 5.3 overs.
