Everest Cricket Club’s left-arm spinner, Javed Rasheed was a misery to the Diplomats batsmen when he wreaked havoc with figures of 9 for 46 from 13 overs on day one of the Noble House Second Division Two-day Competition at the Ghandi Youth Organisation.
The spinner’s impressive returns saw Diplomats being bundled out for 147 in response to Everest CC mammoth first innings of 306 for 5 declared. D Bobb with 51 showed the only fight for Diplomats.
When Everest batted, their huge total was orchestrated by Khemraj Ramdeen with 120 and Rishi Hiralall with 90.
When the action resumes at 10:30h this morning, Everest CC will begin their second innings with a healthy lead of 159. Today is the final day.
