A North Sophia, Greater Georgetown man appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts where were more than a dozen charges were read to him which alleged that he stole over $300,000 from his employers.
Darrell LaFargue,23, appeared before Principal Magistrate Sherdel Issacs-Marcus. He pleaded not guilty.

It is alleged that between August 21, 2021, and September 4, 2021, at Regent Street, Georgetown while being employed as a clerk/servant at Queensway Security Service Inc., he stole $362,314 in cash.
Police Prosecutor Annalisa Brummell told the court that she intends to present 40 more similar charges against LaFargue. She said that when the allegations were put to him, he gave a caution statement. In the end, the defendant was granted bail totalling $600,000.
Conditionality of the bail is that he reports to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Headquarters, Eve Leary, Georgetown every Friday until the hearing and determination of his trial.
LaFargue’s case will be called again on November 1.
