– taped parcels found on back seat
A taxi driver of Kuru Kururu, East Bank Demerara (EBD) is being processed for court after a mobile police patrol, acting on a tip-off, intercepted his vehicle on the Friendship Public Road, EBD at about 18:20hrs on Monday and found more than two kilos of compressed marijuana therein.
According to the police, the four taped parcels of compressed cannabis, weighing approximately five pounds, were in a box on the back seat of the vehicle. The driver was the lone occupant of the vehicle.
