Teen lashed to head with bottle during argument

Nineteen-year-old Kevin Francis was on Monday lashed to the head with a beer bottle during an argument at Market Street, Supenaam, Essequibo Coast, Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam).
Based on reports received, about 23:00h on Sunday, Francis and the suspect, along with others, were imbibing when an argument broke out among them.
Within minutes, the argument escalated and the suspect armed himself with a beer bottle and dealt the victim one blow to the head.
As a result, the victim reportedly fell to the ground and sustained more injuries. He was picked up in a conscious state and taken to the Suddie Public Hospital, where he was admitted.
Meanwhile, the suspect fled the scene. The matter was reported and an investigation was launched.
