Meanwhile, one of the recipient Amber McLean was extremely happy that her wish was granted.
“This initiative touched my heart, when I was told about wish upon a star I immediately went ahead and write my letter. My mother received a call and I asked her who and she told me is someone and she has to go out tomorrow… I didn’t want to go with her because I didn’t know why she is going out but I decided to go and I saw the gifts and got really excited even hearing my name called at the distribution bring tears to my eyes and I’m happy that my wish was granted,” the child added.
Another child, Devendra Persaud thanked Minister Persaud for such an initiative that brought smile to his face.
He said that he is very happy to receive the gift he wished for and cannot wait to unwrap and start playing.
