ANUG executive charged with assaulting ex-girlfriend

An executive member of the A New and United Guyana (ANUG) – one of the small political parties which contested the March 2020 National and Regional Elections, was on Friday charged with assaulting one of his ex-girlfriends and released on $20,000 bail.

Charged: Kian Jabour

Kian Jabour was arraigned before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts. He pleaded not guilty to the charge which stated that he unlawfully assaulted the woman so as to cause her actual bodily harm.
Guyana Times was unable to confirm when and where the offence occurred or any other facts surrounding the matter. Jabour returns to court next month. (G1)
