Guyana will be competing at the Lima 2019 Parapan American Games in Lima, Peru, under the umbrella of the National Paralympics Committee of Guyana.
Guyana was given a quote of four, consisting of two para-athletes and two officials. Well recognised senior cyclist Walter Grant-Stuart and the ever-improving table tennis sensation Gibran Sarfaraz will be representing the Guyanese colours with assistance from Wilton Spencer – Chef de Mission and Table Tennis Coach, Linden Johnson.
Spencer, Johnson and Sarfaraz are scheduled to depart Guyana today, while Grant- Stuart will follow at a later date.
The Paralympics Committee wishes to extend a hearty thank you to the International Paralympics Committee, Guyana Olympics Association and National Sports Commission, who are responsible for equipping the delegation for the Games.
