The recently-resuscitated Young Warriors Cricket Club are making rapid strides to return to their former glory.
In an effort to assist that development, Mahaish Ramoutar of Flat Rate Realty, Queens, New York, USA, provided cash to his former cricket club.
On a recent visit to Guyana, Ramoutar said that he was happy to give back to the Club he played for as a kid and has fond memories of those days. He noted that he was one of the first set of cricketers when the Club was formed under Orin Archer’s leadership, and was very happy to see their growth over the years, as they have produced many fine cricketers, with the latest being West Indies’ newest batting sensation, Shimron Hetmyer.
Ramoutar pledged to garner more help for the Club from former players and persons from the Cumberland area now residing in the USA.
Former national player and Coach Hubern Evans thanked Ramoutar for his kind contribution and urged Guyanese in the New York area to support his business so that he could continue to give back to his place of birth.
