2 foreigners caught with unlicensed gun, live rounds

Ranks of the Guyana Police Force (GPF) on Friday evening arrested two foreign nationals at Meten-Meer-Zorg on the West Coast of Demerara, after they were found in possession of an unlicensed revolver with live rounds.
Based on information provided, ranks were conducting a mobile patrol at about 20:45h in the community, when residents alerted them of the suspicious behaviour of the two men.

The men were searched and the unlicensed firearm and four live rounds were found in the possession of one of them – who resides in the same community. The other is from Cornelia Ida, WCD.
Both persons, who are from a neighbouring country, were taken into Police custody and are assisting with the investigation.
