Known for his strength and durability on the local turf, Dillon Mahadeo gave yet another good account of himself when he finished in second place at the Barbados Island Fit Games over the weekend.
It is understood that Mahadeo was leading on the completion of the first four events, only to be pipped on final event by Trinidad and Tobago’s Mattheaus Othero. Othero was also champion at the Crossfit 12-12-12 in Trinidad and Tobago last year when Mahadeo finished third overall.
Mahadeo’s Crossfit 592 teammates, Jamie McDonald and Christian McRae, finished 18th and 19th overall respectively. McDonald injured his shoulder in the first event of the weekend and never recovered, but managed to finish the opening day.
The other member of Guyana’s contingent at the event was Angelina DeAbreu, who served as Manager.
